Oh blog, I'm so sorry I've neglected you. As usual, things have been a bit hectic around here. Fun, but hectic!

Ben is becoming such a big guy. This week we started working on potty training. I was reluctant at first, but he has really caught on quickly to this strange bodily function. We stayed close to home most of the week so he could roam around the house in his underwear, which looks super cute on him. We ventured out this weekend but I wasn't brave enough to not put him in a diaper. We went to BW3 for lunch and I took him into the bathroom to change his diaper. There was no diaper changing table, so I took him into one of the stalls and planned on changing his diaper while he stood up. Once I took off his diaper, which was dry, I asked if he wanted to sit on the potty. Much to my surprise, he did! He sat on the potty for a few seconds but nothing happened. I asked if he wanted to get off and put a diaper on and he said, "not yet" in his sweet little voice. Before I knew it, he was tinkling in the potty! Of course I made a big deal out of it, hoping no one was in the stall next to us. When we returned to the table, he announced to the server and anyone else within earshot that he "peed on the potty". He was so proud of his accomplishment.

I think it might be time for me to go on a diet. Ben was throwing a ball at my bucket today when he announced, "Mom, you're so bouncy!". Ugh! If that wasn't bad enough, I referred to him as my little guy and he responded by calling me his big girl. Oh, to be so honest and get away with it.

We are still missing Chops quite a bit. We went past the dog treats at Target the other day and Ben said he really missed her. This morning we saw a couple of sheepdogs on T.V. and I started to get a little teary eyed. Ben told me it was okay and that Chops would be coming back. I wish she was but I know she is happy up in doggy heaven.
