We returned from a long trip to Ohio last night. Ben was able to spend time with some of his favorite people. We stayed at Grandma's house. We went to Aunt Monster's house for Thanksgiving day. We celebrated Thanksgiving, Ben's birthday and Christmas all in one day - whew! We were all a little tired after such a long day of partying. We spent Friday at Uncle Don and Aunt Heidi's house. Ben likes everyone but seems to be developing a special bond with his cousin, Christy. She's so good with him! He also enjoyed playing with his furry cousin, Brody. Seeing the two of them play really made me miss Chops. I know soon enough we will add a furry friend to our family, but for now, I still miss her quite a bit.
We are closing on our house this Friday - hooray! Ben and I only have to make the commute to preschool three more times and then we will be living right around the corner. Ben is so excited about his new house. He scored a bunch of new toys while we were in Ohio and he can't wait to take over our new space with them. It'll be so great for all of us to stretch out and give each other some room!
