This morning Ben and I headed to Baker Park. My friend Rebecca is starting a photography business and wanted to use Ben for her portfolio. She took some really great shots of him. As we were walking around the lake, Ben discovered a mud puddle. Before I could get my warning out to him, he jumped right into it - yuk! Jumping into it wasn't good enough for him though. He then stepped out of it and then jumped back into it. This time he lost his balance and ended up "sitting" in the puddle. What a mess! Fortunately, being the super mommy that I am, I had a spare pair of jeans in the car. I changed him and then it was off for more fun and photos. As we were wrapping up our photoshoot, an old woman with "welding" glasses approached and asked if she could hug Ben. Before I had the chance to tell her to take a hike, Ben went running to me and clung onto my leg - whew! Dodged that bullet. Then she tried to hug me and I turned my back to her. Ben and I had a talk about strangers after that encounter.
After the park, Ben had his Super Beasts class. He's really getting good at taking turns. He's extremely patient and polite with the other kids - not sure where he gets that from.
It's been another great day with Ben and I'm looking forward to the weekend so Dave can join the fun too!
