Yesterday was Ben's third birthday. We had so much fun. When he woke up in the morning, we wished him a happy birthday and he told us he was three. He's so cute. The entire morning he kept asking when we were going to have his birthday party. It's actually scheduled for today but he had a hard time understanding that. We went to his Super Beasts class and his little friends sang to him. He sat on his teacher's lap and was just beaming with joy. He was so proud to be turning three. Last night we took him downtown to his favorite restaurant, the Green Turtle. Our friends Valerie and Scott joined us too. They couldn't get over how good he was at the restaurant. He told our guests all kinds of interesting things, including that he goes to preschool and has friends at preschool...hmmmm.
Today we're taking care of some last preparations before his big bash tonight. As I was making taco dip for the party, he asked me if the sour cream I was using was ice cream. When I said, no it's sour cream, he got a disturbed look on his face and said, "well, how did that happen?" What a cutie. He's taking a snooze right now, resting up for the arrival of his guests. It's actually snowing here in Maryland - yuk! I hope the weather doesn't put a damper on his party. He deserves to have a great time celebrating his third birthday!!
