Today is our dear friend Helen Zimmer's birthday.

Ben and I have had a busy week. Aunt Monster, Cronster and Grandmonster arrived for a visit last Monday. Dad left town Tuesday morning. We visited the Baltimore Aquarium and Inner Harbor - it was a great time. Ben loved seeing all of the sea creatures (at the aquarium, not his relatives). They stayed until Friday. Dad is scheduled to come home this evening.

Today Ben informed me there were turtles in our kitchen and he had to jump from turtle shell to turtle shell to get through the room. I said to him, "show me these turtles you speak of". He responded, "I'm not a speak of, I'm Benjamin". He thought I was calling him "speak of".

Ben has been summonsing me to his room in the middle of the night to turn his music on. So, last night I decided to put his CD player on continuous play when he went to bed. Around 4:15am I received my orders to come to his room. When I arrived, he asked me to turn his music on. Before I could tell him it was already on, he said, "oh, wait - it's already on, never mind". I asked if he could check next time before awakening me from my much needed sleep.

Ben is staying up late tonight so he can see his Dad. He has been asking about him all week and really misses him. Can't wait to see the two reunited.
