So long, March!!

What a beautiful day here in Frederick, MD. It's 70 degrees and sunny.

Ben and I said goodbye to our houseguests this morning.

I had high hopes of outlet shopping, Auntie Anne's for lunch and a little playground time today. Ben wanted nothing to do with this brilliant plan. When I presented it to him, he said "no I want to stay home". So, we stayed home today.

We had a picnic in our tiny, little backyard today. It was lots of fun. We invited Chops to join us but she spent most of her time in the garage. The sun was a bit much for her. After lunch we played golf and baseball. We really need an actual yard, especially as Ben gets bigger. The sunshine and fresh air wore Ben out and he easily went down for a nap today.

Ben's new thing to say is, "I'll never get to ____________ agian" when I tell him he can't do something. For example, we went to the playground after art class yesterday. We played for a bit but it was really windy and getting chilly so I told him we had to leave. The entire way home he kept saying, "I'll never get to go to the playground again". I'm not sure where all of this drama is coming from - he must be hanging out with Chops too much.

We're gearing up for a fun Easter weekend. We are going downtown on Saturday for an egg hunt and hopefully an encounter with the Easter Bunny. Daddy is leaving the day after Easter so it'll just be Ben, Chops and me for the week. I hope we don't get into too much trouble!
