Well, we made it to 2010. While 2009 wasn't the best year for our economy and country in general, Ben made it a great year for us. As we start the new year, one of my tasks today is to take down all of the Christmas decorations. I'm not quite sure how this is going to go over with my three foot pal. Ever since Christmas, which was only a little over a week ago, Ben has been asking if we are going to do Christmas again....usually followed by a very determined "today?". I need to come up with a distraction, Valentine's decorations perhaps.

Ben is attending a birthday party today at his friend Cal's house. It should be a good time. Rumor has it the tots will be building a bird house.

Ben displayed some great problem solving skills yesterday. His dad asked if he wanted to watch the Rose Bowl, OSU was playing. Ben quickly replied "no". Dad said he really wanted to watch the game so Ben informed him he could watch it in the basement. I guess Ben didn't want the game interupting his usual daily routine on the main floor. Ben did manage to watch some of the game with his dad, which was pretty cool. Although, there were random times throughout the game where Ben decided he was an airplane and "flew" around the kitchen while screaming. Dave thinks Ben and I are quite noisy at times. We think we're fun.

Off to tackle the decorations. Hopefully I can get most of them down before my friend surfaces.
