DB went back to work. Ben is going though daddy withdrawl. Chops is staring at the wall. Looks like things are back to "normal" after the holiday.

Ben has accepted that Christmas is gone and he's now focusing on Valentine's Day. He is looking forward to eating heart shaped cookies and sending hearts to those he loves, or at least tolerates.

Chops fell victim to one of Ben's evil plots yesterday. She was lounging around, minding her own business. I watched as Ben strategically placed a crayon right in front of her nose. He then shouted, "Mommy, what's Chops eating?" He totally set her up. Sometimes I think Chops has just given up. She's starting to realize Ben is a permanent fixture in her life and not just some kid who stopped over for a visit. For as much squabbling as the two of them do, I know deep down they are nuts about each other.....I hope.

Our friend Wendy came for a visit today. She was given a complete tour of all of the new Christmas toys. Ben played the piano for her, showed her how his racers worked and did some construction on his workbench. He also informed her it was Valentine's Day.
